5 Must Haves for Distance and Hybrid Teaching Models
I’ve been in the hybrid teaching model supporting classroom teachers who are teaching cohorts of students in person and online. We have been rockin’ it this way since August 2020 – phew! After all my years in the classroom, this one has felt most like a rollercoaster. Here’s 5 things I am realizing I really can’t live without these days, in the era of COVID teaching. I hope these simple must haves help alleviate some of the overwhelm this year has brought us. Sending an air hug!
1.) Blue light blocker glasses – They’re not the cute ones from Warby Parker and they may not be the sturdiest, but they’re comfortable, attractive *enough* for back to back Zoom calls, and these babies work!
2.) Keyboard cover – With all our time spent on the computer lately, plus all the sanitizing, I’ve found this to be a life saver. You can dust the crumbs off your keyboard (no judgment here) and wipe it down with sanitizer to ensure you’re staying clean! We can’t play around with the longevity of our technology these days. Take care of it!
3.) Electronic wipes – These days it feels like we truly cannot have enough cleaning supplies. And, the easier the better! These wipes are an absolute MUST. Such a simple, effective way to clean your tablet and laptop without damaging it.
4.) Black joggers – My new favorite pants! Okay, they might be *technically* sweatpants. I speak from experience that if you add cute flats and tuck in a sweater, you can pull it off at work. Plus if you’re remote, we already know that anything goes. These joggers look super cute with a bunch of the fall tops that I shared a few posts back.
5.) Water bottle with a straw – Necessary always, especially now! This cute water bottle has a straw so you can more easily stay hydrated while masked up. Which reminds me to ask you, have you drank water today? Go fill up your water bottle – no really, go!
