Fall is such a fun time to focus on social emotional learning, especially gratitude. Here’s a simple round-up of some of my favorite SEL fall resources available in my TPT shop!
SEL Monthly Themes – October – Expected and Unexpected
While it’s no longer October, this set of hands-on activities is appropriate for any fall month! Through a pumpkin theme, students read a mini-book about expected/unexpected behaviors, a pumpkin craftivity book to practice the new skill of expected/unexpected behaviors, and play a pocket chart game.
SEL Monthly Themes – November – Gratitude
This themed SEL set uses leaves as a seasonal thread to teach about gratitude. The mini-book explains what gratitude is, and the craftivity book helps students brainstorm and share different things they’re grateful for. There is a discussion game using a pocket chart for students to share their responses about gratitude, too!
Count With Me: Thanksgiving Adapted Book
If you’re working with students who are learning counting and cardinality, this book is for you! This is an engaging way to involve seasonal themes into a math goal. Students can keep busy hands active, practice seasonal vocabulary, and stay focused on counting and one to one correspondence.
Turkey Emotion Task Cards
Keep the emotion identification lessons going, just add in some seasonal fun! These turkey clip art will help students keep the practice going with a variety of emotion-focused activities. I love how these task cards can be used in a variety of ways to keep students engaged and practicing.
Pumpkin Emotions Task Cards
These task cards are PERFECT for seasonal centers or stations! These are some of my favorite SEL fall resources!
November Coping Skills Bulletin Board
My former school required a new bulletin board every month, and it got really overwhelming! I created these seasonal bulletin boards to help ease the stress and keep them meaningful, too. This November bulletin board activity focuses on goal setting and being grateful for coping skills!
