Back to school outfits can be tricky. Many of us teachers (me included) work in old buildings with no air conditioning or strange temperature fluctuations. Here in Chicago, summer is still in full force when our schools return in August or September. It gets really hot! Here are 5 wardrobe staples for back to school outfits that you can find on Amazon. I only included affordable options from quality brands. No weird sizing or uncomfortable materials heading your way, just two day shipping!
.) I love a good maxi dress, and this one hits the mark! The pattern I have shown in the image above is my favorite, but there are tons of choices. This is a dress you can easily dress up with jewelry and nicer shoes, or wear tennis shoes and your hair in a bun. This will be a great dress to wear into fall with boots and a denim jacket, too!
.) Sleeveless tops can be tricky in a professional setting, but this one is perfect. I love the high mock neck on it because it looks really classy, but also offers great coverage without making you hot! This will be great with both pants and skirts, plus will work well with layering in colder seasons.
.) This dress is so classy and comfy! The long sleeves still allow for this to be worn on warmer days because it’s such light material. It’s a bit loose, which I like, but you could absolutely wear a belt to give more of a waist. This is a total transition piece as you can easily wear it into fall or in the early, chilly spring months for us Midwesterners.
.) You can’t go wrong with a shirt dress. If you’re a special educator or early education teacher, throw some bike shorts underneath for all the running around you’ll likely be doing. This dress is great for those of us who don’t have the luxury of an air conditioned school building!
.) These pants are literally everything you want in a work pant. I love the cut of these pants and how versatile they are. You can wear heels, tennis shoes, flats, or sandals and they’ll look great. They come in a bunch of colors and a few patterns, too.
